Edinburgh Marathon 2012
First held in 2003, this popular race is expected to attract 16,500 entrants into the marathon and the Hairy Haggis Team Relay. With an overall elevation drop of over 50 metres, it was rated the fastest marathon in the UK by Runner's World magazine, and enjoys stunning views as it heads east along the coast.
If you're not ready for a full marathon yet, try its sister race, the EMF Half Marathon. Whichever you choose, join the Cancer Research UK team and help more people beat cancer.
Get a charity place
We have Cancer Research UK charity places available in the Edinburgh Marathon. Entry fee is £50 and we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum £650 sponsorship. To sign up for a place please call our hotline on 0871 641 2403 with your debit or credit card ready to pay the fee.
Support our runners
Come along and support Cancer Research UK! We want your help to cheer on our runners at our cheering point. We’ll give you foam hands, whistles and clapper bangers for you to make as much noise as possible. Refreshments and a souvenir t-shirt will be provided on the day.
