Look out for our cheering points

Ask your friends and family to join us at one of our cheering points. You could join us at one of our open topped cheering buses in Gateshead and Coast Road or you could cheer alongside our cheerleading teams at Whitemare Pool interchange and Temple Memorial Park.

Come along and support Cancer Research UK! We’re looking for volunteers to help out on our cheering point and our cheering bus too. We also need massage therapists in our marquee and people to meet and greet our runners after the race. You’ll be provided with refreshments and a souvenir t-shirt on the day. 

We have whistles, cheering sticks, loud-hailers, rave horns and more, so there’s no excuse for being quiet! These cheering points add to the fantastic atmosphere and really boost the runners who are doing so much for us. We hope to see you there!

Charity marquee

Don't forget to drop by and see us at our charity marquee after your race, we are located near the finishing line, one of our team will be there to show you the way.  Join us for refreshments and it's a great place to meet family and friends.

We’ll support you every step of the way to help you have a memorable experience:

• you’ll get a T-shirt or vest to wear on the day. Remember to add the iron on letters to the front of your top so people can cheer you on.
• we have lots of fundraising ideas to help you boost your fundraising target
• we’ll help you get ready for your event with our training advice
