Virgin London Marathon 2013
If you run one marathon in your lifetime, make it London. More than just a marathon, this is the largest annual fundraising event in the world, with 35,000 runners creating an amazing atmosphere.
In 2012 we had a team of over 1, 200 runners, raising over £1.3 million for our life-saving work. Join us next year and be a part of this unique day.
The 2013 Virgin London Marathon ballot is now closed.
Following the huge success of the 2012 Virgin London Marathon, more people than ever were inspired to enter the official ballot. This year the official ballot places were snapped up quicker than ever. After opening in the morning, the ballot was full and closed by 5pm. If you have any enquiries about the official ballot please call the London Marathon on 020 7902 0200.
You can still run in 2013. Apply for our Golden Bond places!
If you missed out on this year's ballot, fear not! You can now apply for one of our Cancer Research UK Golden Bond places! The entry fee for a Golden Bond is £100 and we ask you to raise a minimum of £2,000 for Cancer Research UK's life-saving work. Download the form here and e-mail completed forms to sportsteam@cancer.org.uk by Friday, August 24, 2012.

- you’ll get a T-shirt or vest to wear on the day. Remember to add the iron on letters to the front of your top so people can cheer you on.

Race Day Support
On marathon day, look for Cancer Research UK cheering points at 4 points along the marathon course. At the finish line, you will be greeted by volunteers who will help you carry your bags to our post-race reception, where a free massage awaits you! Family and friends are invited to the post-race reception for tea, coffee, and refreshments, to help you celebrate your accomplishments.
