"You understand the need to fight when you try on a wedding dress without her, when you walk down the aisle without her, when you can't phone her for advice,” she says.
An emotional and inspiring day
“The day was a very emotional but an uplifting experience. So many people joined together by a common cause, wanting to make a difference.
"When you ran past the Cancer Research UK bus with music playing and people cheering you on, you just feel euphoric, almost wanting to leap into the air!
“I feel privileged to have taken part in the Great Manchester Run, representing my community, representing Cancer Research UK and representing mum," Caroline says.
