Raising money to help more people beat cancer
Jason's achievement helped him to raise an amazing £18,000 for Cancer Research UK's life-saving work.
"I wanted to raise money for Cancer Research UK in honour of friends and family I’ve lost to cancer,” he says.
“The whole experience was uplifting and incredibly rewarding. I was able to enjoy the sights, sounds and support in each of the beautiful cities.”
Jason set an ambitious fundraising target of £10,000. To reach his target, he organised a successful golf day for companies and three School Mile events, which encouraged children of his local schools run a mile and raise money for Cancer Research UK. He had a lot of support from his employers, pupils and parents from the schools in Verwood, family and friends.
"Money is still coming in so I hope to hit over £20,000 at the final count,” he says.
Jason also appreciates the support he received from Cancer Research UK: “The Running Team have been the most proactive and supportive team possible, they really made the whole challenge special.”
